We did so by taking a quick little jaunt up the coast to Solvang, minus kids.
It's a quaint little town, windmills and Danish bakeries....
Lots of fun little shops to walk through....
And of course a million different wineries,
With a ton of different wine tasting places! And we had a blast tasting wines from all over, all different kinds of climates, and temperatures, learning more and more. 
Oh And? See these?
We got to feed them, even though the hubs wanted to go and ride them after wine tasting all afternoon! I settled for just feeding them. Have you ever actually seen one of these up close? They are weird!
And these? These are Aebelskivers 
They were tastey but overall, I wasn't THAT impressed. And that is how we spent our 5 year anniversary and part of our Sunday!

Happy Anniversary, Erin! We just celebrated our 15th :-) Interesting photos - we recently visited a zoo at another city and got to see those birds up close. Quite funny.

Yay you! Happy Anniversary! We love, love Slovang. My dh's very big family went camping out that way every Spring and spent time in the town, we go up once in a while, too.
I've fed the ostriches and emus! Love the aebelskivers, we get them at the place with the to go window :)
