Pull my finger....

Everything I ever needed to know, I learned in preschool!

Now everyone knows from my previous posts that Thomas started preschool this summer. And let me tell you, the kid is learning things.

He walks around singing songs ALL. THE. TIME! He sings his ABC's, he sings Itsy Bitsy Spider, he sings Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, he even sings if you are happy and you know it! And he is learning how to play hide and seek, and a version of Simon Says!

Great, I LOVE it, he's learning his numbers and his letters, he is learning how to do crafts and paint, and how to play in a peer group, instead of just being the "Big Brother" and trying to pull rank over his little brother.

And let me tell you what else he is learning....we are going to the park the other day and all of a sudden I hear him say to his little brother "Pull my finger". The hubs and I look at each other and laugh. Then I say to Thomas What happens when I pull your finger and he says "I fart"...NICE!!! And he makes the fart noise with his mouth. Then I ask him who taught him that and he says "DADDY" I look at the hubs and say, that's just great! And he laughs and Says I didn't teach him that and you know it!

And what else is he learning...well we were in the car going to visit my aunt and we get to the top of the hill and we are about to decend into her "valley" so to speak and he says "I smell something" and he starts sniffing. (Now normally you might smell oranges as there is an orange orchard there, or you might smell onions or veggies as there is farm land there as well) So I expect him to tell me he smells one of those things and he says "I smell.....it smells like...*sniff* *Sniff*....it smells like MONKEY POOP!

WTH? Monkey poop? And how do you know what monkey poop smells like? And what are you like huffing monkey poop now? So all these new phrases and ideas and such must be coming from preschool, because I can't even think of a time when I said the words "monkey poop" in my life!

So school is a beautiful thing isn't it? I just love the fact that among the ABC's and 123's he is learning about monkey poop and pull my finger!
