It's a Whale of a Tail

These whales are amazing...especially this replica! Found at the Long Beach Aquarium.
Christopher kept pointing and saying "Ohhhhhhh"

And the seals were a lot of fun, and underneath you could see them swimming, and the boys were super excited about watching them.

Christopher was enthralled with everything....he wanted to touch and see and do...he loved the sea cucumber.

And he had a ton of fun with the ray's and even dipped as far in as he could to touch the sharks, and they were a little rough compared to the ray's and he pulled his hand back fast!

Thomas would have sat there all day and watched the fish swim, and scuba Steve talk about all things fish!
You can even see the Queen Mary from above!

Thomas got a cool tatoo and was walking around saying "Welcome to the Gun Show" when he showed it off!
My sis in law couldn't wait to spend her $3 to feed the Lorikeets...and Christopher was sure glad she did. Because he had fun with that one.

The flew right by your head, they were so tame, would sit on your shoulders, your finger....but they didn't seem to like kids....as soon as we would try to put them on the boys they would nibble.

I had one try to eat my fingernail....must have been the colors!

We had so much fun, we went early to avoid this ridiculous heat....we were definitely glad we have air conditioning at home to relax in.
Christopher was so hands on, Thomas was happy just to look. We can't wait to go again and perhaps go on a harbo cruise!

And that's what Sunday's in My City look like!

I had never before heard of a lorikeet and this is the second post that I've read about them, today! It's like hearing a new word, it really is.

That looks like so much fun! I'm a little freaked out by sea cucumbers.

Oh the Aquarium of the Pacific! I love that place so much! I use to have the annual pass when I lived in Irvine and would go there so often just to enjoy being around sea animals :) My favorite was watching the otters swim around and get fed. The Lorikeet was pretty interesting too but it can get pretty crowded on the weekends. I'm glad that they turned it into a permanent area since I think it was originally just a temporary thing. I guess it was just too popular :)

This looks like such a fun day! And what a cool shark tattoo!

We spent a day at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry and everyone from 2 year olds to grandparents had a great time. Those places are great family finds, aren't they?

You have two boys? I have four sons! Come on over!
