I swear the poor kid can't catch a break....EVER!
Thomas has been sick....started with a cough and runny nose a few weeks back. He got over it, and Christopher remained cough/wheeze free! WHOOO HOOO maybe he is finally getting bigger and over coming his narrowed airway and asthma and predisposition to any sort of lung related problem.
Then Thomas came down with this horrific barky cough while we were in SF this past weekend. And in school on Monday his teacher called me and said he turned a lovely shade of red, and then a most beautiful shade of blue....to an awesome shade of purple. So off to the doc we sped. He was fine, at the tail end of a viral croup. Instructions ensued and off we went, he has been cough free for a day now.
And we thought we were getting lucky. And now Christopher....my poor little wheezing, coughing baby. All I can hope for now, is an ER free night! He sounds so horrible, I haven't heard him this bad since he was 4 months old and did a 4 day stay in the hospital.
So we do what we always do...more steroids, more breathing treatments, and pray!
So while we are telling him to Breathe Christopher, just Breathe....I have to tell myself that as well, as my sense of nervousness increases with each passing wheeze!

Oh my goodness! I sure hope all goes well.
I know how badly things can get, my niece has asthma real bad and she was staying with me for the weekend. I was a mess when it hit her.

I sad to hear this. My little guy is back to his daily neb treatments. In addition to the oral steroids, is he also doing inhaled steroids? And some albuterol, too? How about Singulair? This cocktail might be just what he needs until his airways are a little bigger.
I totally wish I had some advice that would be helpful. Something that would ease your mind and help him breathe better.....but I know nothing about breathing problems, so I'll just pray.
How scary. I hope that your little guy gets better quickly & that there are no more ER visits!
OH NO! How horrible! I think kids coughing is so much harder to sleep and deal with. My daughter wheezed only once before she turned 1 and the doctor gave her this tube to have her breath the medicine in to open up her airways. Of course it didn't work cos she wouldn't breathe in that thing! Hope your boys feel better soon!
Your poor sweet kids... and you! I sure hope they're feeling better and everyone can get some rest.

Aww hun! I hate those periods so much! My son had croup and breathing issues for quite a few years when he was younger. So I feel your pain. :-( I hope you're guy is better soon!
Poor guy. I sure hope he's feeling better now. Because I know it's even harder on the mommy than the little man!
How frightening! I can't even imagine how stressed you are constantly waiting for a recurrence. I hope he grows out this soon.
Oh no! I hope he's ok by now! I know E has been coughing for a while now. We think she might have allergies. I hope that poor Christoper doesn't have allergies or anything serious!
