All things Fall and Snot....

All things Fall....I am loving it....sweaters, hot chocolate, lots of blankies on the bed, Petey who keeps me nice and warm with his fur, laying next to me.
October means several things aside from just the start of Fall and cooler weather. Pumpkins....along with pumpkins comes Halloween and costumes. And I LOVE Halloween! Can't wait for all the fall festivals and all the crafts that come out of the woodwork. Some of my own crafts I've been working on myself....I'll tell you more about those later!
And I LOVE the Fall, I love thinking about Fall, reading about Fall, seeing everyone's fall decorations....which reminds me I need to get mine out, so along with all things Fall that we all love....and then.....
And then there is SNOT! Because along with all things Fall, comes cold and flu and the dreaded RSV season, something which my littlest one can fall prey to. And we have been so careful with making sure our hands are washed and germs and all of that, and we have barely broke into the cold and flu season and guess who is sick already???
Yep, my poor little baby Christopher. He is congested which is NOT good for him, we have his breathing machine here at home now, and the doc has given us some prednisone that melts in the mouth, so let's hope we don't have any more runs to the ER in the middle of the night. And I know he's older and I know the doc says he is supposed to out grow his Laryngomalacia I have yet to take him to the specialist to be sure.
And then Thomas decides it's time for him to get sick too! Oh how I love that we all get sick at the same time. *cough* NOT *cough* You watch, as soon as we get better the Hubs will get it and it will make it's way around again!
And until then, I will panic with each and every cold, I will keep a monitor close to my bed so I can hear Christopher breathe at night, even if it is just him snoring!
But speaking of colds and sleeping....why is it a cold kicks my butt, I'm tired, I feel lazy, I just want to lay around and do nothing, but the kiddos....ohhhhhh no, they are still running around like normal, only difference is they have this spew all over their top lip! Thomas' favorite past time....walking up to your leg, about thigh level and wipe his snot all over your leg. He pulls away, looks at it, looks at you as if to say "eww mommy, that's nasty, you better clean that up" as he trots off to his next toy until it's time to come back and do it on your other leg!
N-A-S-T-Y!!!
And don't for even a second tell him that maybe we need to wipe his nose...because if he's on the floor, the carpet gets it, if he's near the dog...you guessed it. And yes my mom's dog is back for the weekend! No, with Thomas it's the sneak attack! Almost like you have to tip toe over to the box of wipes, whistling, looking all around, grab a wipe, pretend you are doing something else, and come up from behind him and get it. And you better be quick or it will end up on your arm or worse!
So although Fall brings all these wonderfully beautiful things, it also brings colds, and snot on the legs of my pants, and carpet, and my mom's dog! Oh how I count the days until I am seeing boogs on the wall, the windows, the fish tank! I guess it's better there then seeing them *belch* eat them!
Now don't you just love Fall? =)

That was too funny Erin! I hope you are all feeling better soon and don't have to pass it around a second time!

God bless!

Poor little guy. We've survived our first cold and I hope it's the last (YEAH RIGHT!). But I do love Fall, even with the extra boogers.

Ugh, that's the one thing that I love about summer--- the fewest sniffles of the year!
