What a weekend huh?

Unfortunately I have no pics of our weekend. With Christopher being in the hospital on the 4th, we laid low most of the weekend so that he can recover! And he is doing so much better, a combination of his prednisone and inhaler and saline for his nose and his humidifier, he is actually getting caught up on his sleep.

So we were hoping to get some great Red, White and Blue pics of the boys enjoying the 4th but all we got were a couple on my cell phone of Christopher in the hospital.

Mommy did get a little away time today. I went to see "My Sister's Keeper". If you have an opportunity to see the movie or read the book....Read the book! Not to say the movie wasn't great, it was, and a tear jerker at that. Why is it they have to add those horribly emotional songs with the teary lyrics right to the part where all of a sudden life is moving in slow motion? All the memories pass in front of you, all the heartache, all the smiles and family moments....and they just make you fall into a pile of crying mess in the movie theater?

Well I didn't have anyone sit right next to me, but we did have a woman sit directly behind me and all I heard most of the movie was her sniffing her tears back! I cried too, don't get me wrong, and I sniffed a couple of times but not nearly as much, or as loud as that woman did!

But the movie was about a "designer baby" that was conceived mainly to be a donor for her sister who suffered from cancer. The journey of a family run by this cancer, the stress of a mother trying to save her daughter, the love of a sister to do whatever it takes, and the courage of another sister to say enough is enough!

Definitely a must see....but not before you READ THE BOOK!

Sorry to hear about the hospital stay ... that cannot be fun. I'm hoping he is feeling better!

And I loved the book of My Sister's Keeper .. so I'm hesitant about the movie...especially because I heard they changed the ending!
