Halloween 2008

Another Halloween under our belt. We had a great time despite a couple of runny noses. We went over to Grandma's house and went to a couple of friends houses to trick or treat, we actually got one candy bar. It's a good thing we didn't get more, we definitely don't need it!

Thomas had a great time, he loved his costume, and he was even nice to his little brother!

A Pumpkin??

Pumpkin Carving

While Christopher napped we carved Thomas' pumpkin that he picked out at the pumpkin patch. We got Christopher a pumpkin too but it was too little to carve.

Thomas had a lot of fun carving, he held the scooper, but when we got the top off he didn't want to scoop. He didn't even want to get his hands in the stuff! So he supervised! But he didn't want to give the scooper to Dad, so dad had to use his hands! He did find it all very interesting, and next year maybe he'll help Christopher carve his pumpkin!

Pumpkin Patch

We did take Thomas and Christopher to the pumpkin patch, although it was more fun for Thomas than Christopher! He didn't want to ride the pony, but he was intrigued with all the animals. And of course after just a few pics mom's camera went dead!! But we did get some pics.

He loved the chickens....I guess because we always have Chickie Bok Bok for dinner.....so we kept telling him they were Chickie Bok Bok's and I think he was looking for his fork!!

He wanted to ride the train but you needed at least two riders to operate it and Christopher, Mommy and Daddy didn't count!

But that was okay, he was the engineer for the pumpkin express!

And he liked to chase around the big emu, he's never seen a bird this big!

The big pig made some funny noises and they didn't sound anything like "Oink Oink"

Ahhh something to climb!! He did climb all the way to the top but didn't want to come down without Daddy's help.

Open House Party

Along with having Christopher Baptised we had an open house to follow. It was the perfect day for a party. The weather was not to warm and we had a nice breeze. The turnout was great! We BBQed, and had some really great dishes that were brought. We really appreciate everyone who pitched in and brought something, it wouldn't have been such a feast without you.

We had a whole lot of fun, and we are so glad that everyone was able to come. And it really wasn't necessary but everyone brought something for Christopher, Thomas and for us, and that was very sweet.

We are finally to a point where we could show the house. It is so nice to see how it has really come along, I'll be putting together an album of photos of the house, so stay tuned. We had a bunch of kids come and it was so nice to have a yard for them to play in! I tried to get as many pics as I could, but I'm afraid I didn't do such a wonderful job, when I thought about getting pics everyone was getting ready to leave.

But we are really looking forward to the boys growing up here and to having many more parties in the years to come!

Christopher's Christening

We had Christopher Christened on Sunday, he did great, only a couple of pouts out of him, otherwise he slept through it all! Unfortunately the Godparents, Conner Murphy and Kim Goodnight, could not be present so we had Aunt Tami and Uncle Dean act as proxy's.

Christopher shared his baptism with another Christopher, and it was a short and sweet ceremony. There will be more pics to come of his baptism, so stay tuned, but it's amazing how much he looks like his big brother in this picture!!

Pumpkin Festival

Well we went with some friends and their son to the Calabasas pumpkin festival this past weekend. And I didn't get a single pic of Thomas with a pumpkin, he was much to busy wandering off and climbing on the picnic tables! But I did get a couple of cute pics! So I thought I would share. He had a great time while we were there, he kept going up neat the mechanical bull, but they said he wasn't tall enough to ride haha. Next year there might be more for him to do there as he will be older and able to appreciate the rides and stuff they have. Until then, we are hoping to get to the local farm here to pick out pumpkins and maybe go into the petting zoo!!!

I did get a pic of a pumpkin, just not with Thomas in it, This is Jayden, isn't he adorable? He's my friend Theresa and Rashad's baby!! He's almost 3 months now! Where does the time go?

A new babysitter?

Do we have a new babysitter??? Not likely....really what it was, Christopher was in Tigger's spot....I think Tigger was trying to telepathically tell Christopher to WAKE UP because he wanted his spot back.

Ahh to be young again

Well good old CA, we are battling wildfires again! Thank Goodness we don't have anything too close...but close enough that it changes the color of the sky. Here's a few pics right outside our house....you can see how it goes from a nasty burnt orange color to a pretty blue. So let's hope they get these put out soon, the air quality is horrible! But when you are young, and you don't know anything....you get to laugh and laugh and laugh and not worry about what the air quality is like....that's for Mommy's to worry about! Pink, Pink, Pink

I had to take this pic and post it on the blog. Most of you know the story behind this pillow but for those of you that don't.....let me share....

Okay everyone knows I am a Hello Kitty lover....so when I was pregnant with Thomas, we signed up for a lamaze class and they told me, Bring a pillow and a blanket. Okay so I went to the store and bought my body length Hello Kitty pillow....Okay I know it's pink...and I knew we were having a boy, but it wasn't for him...it was for me. So when it came time for class and walking through the hospital to the classroom, Steven said he wasn't going to carry the pillow because it was pink! Now everyone has said that it's a good thing I didn't have girls, that way I wouldn't have to share my Hello Kitty things....well here I am sharing my Hello Kitty pillow, and dad gets to see his first born son not only laying on a pink pillow but smiling and loving it!!!! haha

Doctor's updates

Well Christopher is growing like a weed! He is now 9lbs and 13 oz and 21 1/4 inches in length! So he's put on 2 lbs and 2 inches in one month, and the doctor wants him to put on another 2 lbs before his next appointment in a month. He got his first shot today, his Hep B shot and next appointment he will get FOUR shots....my poor little baby, At least Thomas had some meaty thighs but Christopher is just LITTLE!!! Well he did fine with the Hep B shot today, cried for about 15 seconds and went right back to sleep! What a trooper....let's hope he does that well next month. And they want Thomas to have the flu shot....I don't necessarily believe in them and I wouldn't get it for him, but they said he really needs to have it because of Christopher, so he will get a shot next month too. That way he can commiserate with his baby brother!
Other than that he is healthy and doing well! Let's hope he will stay that way through flu season!

Big Brothers are the best.....

Well we finally got some pics of the two boys together.....I would have posted them sooner but we have been without internet for a few days, it looks to be fixed now!
We've been staying busy with the house in the mean time....STILL unpacking....I often wonder....where did all this stuff come from??? And where did we put it before this??? Well we've gotten rid of a lot of stuff, I'm sure just so we can acquire more!
And Thomas and Christopher finally got to meet my uncle Kevin and Karen! Last time I saw them I was pregnant with Thomas. I didn't get any pics, it was kind of a last minute thing, but Karen got some great shots, so maybe if she passes them on I can post them!
Christopher goes back to the doc this afternoon, we'll see how much he's grown, and he gets he dreaded 1st shot! So check back for the doc update!

New Pics

Okay I know I promised some new pics....and I actually have a few with his eyes OPEN!!!

He is just a sweet baby, he's really easy going and he sleeps like a champ....you'd think he was a cat, I only see his eyes open for about 4 hours out of the day!! But he's getting bigger and stronger....we still don't have any pics of him and his big brother together for two reasons.....1.) because Thomas is still sick and 2.) because Thomas doesn't seem to want to sit next to him! But as soon as I get some of the two of them together I will post them!

Seriously mom? I'm trying to eat....quit taking my picture!!!!!
